Farmer's sauce with fennel seeds - 290 gr
Typical recipe of the farmers of the past. Not having the economic possibility of buying pork, they prepared the Sunday gravy with the same spices and herbs used to season the sausage. The result is a sauce, called del "peasant", which recalls the flavor of sausage.
Ingredients
Tomato sauce, Frantoi Cutrera extra virgin olive oil, onion, salt, sugar, fennel seeds, bay leaves, chilli pepper. Acidifier: citric acid.
Uses
Heat two minutes. Perfect on pasta (paccheri). Complete the dish with breadcrumbs toasted with oil, garlic and tufts of fresh fennel.
