Farmer's sauce with wild fennel seeds - 290 gr
Typical recipe of the farmers of the past. Not having the economic possibility of buying pork, they prepared the Sunday sauce with the same spices and herbs used to season the sausage. The result is a sauce, called "peasant", which recalls the flavor of the sausage.
Ingredients
Tomato sauce, Frantoi Cutrera extra virgin olive oil, onion, salt, sugar, fennel seeds, bay leaves, chili pepper. Acidifier: citric acid.
Usage tips
Heat for two minutes. Perfect on pasta (paccheri). Complete the dish with breadcrumbs toasted with oil, garlic and fresh fennel tufts.
