A wonderful Sicilian specialty that will enchant your palate. Manna is already mentioned in the Bible as "bread from heaven". The farmers of the Madonie, in Sicily, still know how to extract and use this true heavenly gift. The sap of the ash trees (plant genus Fraxinus) is obtained with a careful and traditional manual processing that requires skill and experience. Thanks to the naturally sweet flavor of manna, the amount of conventional sugar can be reduced. At the same time, manna gives the nougats a very particular aroma that recalls honey.
